About Madelyn Lorber

Madelyn Lorber is the devoted wife to a spectacular man for over fifty years, a forever mother to their wonderful two sons and daughter, all living within minutes of home base with their terrific mates and families and has, over 17 years, adjusted to the incredible title of grandmother to seven fascinating young people, but only answers to Madelyn or MJ. The grateful daughter to her enduring mother, a loving sibling to her one and only brother, and a best friend to several important people in her life,

Madelyn enjoys reading, music, theater, sports of all kinds, travel, swimming, biking, and walking, but misses tennis, snow skiing, and rollerblading thanks to worn body parts.

Having written since childhood, from early iambic pentameter poetry to teenage diaries to grown-up journaling, Madelyn has published articles in Focus on IRP, the University of Miami’s Institute for Retired Professionals’ newsletter, and the Miami Skier Magazine; her short stories won awards from Florida Freelance Writers Association and Tallahassee Writers’ Association, and appeared in that organizations’ Seven Hills Fiction Review, and several were part of a collective work titled Full Circle, produced and edited by Michael F.C. Thornton. From there Madelyn evolved into a novelist. This debut novel, The Eyes Have It is the first in a planned trilogy, with a collection of her short stories, Talking To Myself nearing completion.
